Eco Friendly Hotel
Located on The Cowal Peninsula, with its spectacular scenery and abundance of good local seafood and other produce, it is important to us to use local suppliers so that we support our local community and reduce our food miles and therefore our carbon foot print.
To further reduce our carbon foot print, we recycle all our waste products where possible and produce our own compost to fertilise our home grown flowers.
By laundering our linen and towels in-house we can ensure our exacting standards are met and provide local employment and further reduce our road miles.
Our short term plans for the hotel on reducing waste are simple and effective, these include the use of larger toiletry supplies in the bathrooms, therefore reducing the amount of ‘one off ‘ bottles used at present, and we will also replace all light bulbs where practical with energy efficient types.
Our long-term aim is to install a wood chip fired boiler system, using a sustainable fuel source.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who gave us such a warm welcome. Fabulous hotel – wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to be back. – Feb 2011 ...
