2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the 1st Preservation Sailing of the paddle steamer Waverley for it was in 1975 that this world famous paddle steamer took back to the waves after the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society bought her for £1 following her retirement.
In May 2015 Waverley will celebrate her Ruby Anniversary with a cruise through the world famous Kyles of Bute to visit to visit the exquisite village of Tighnabruaich. Take a short, scenic stroll from the Tighnabruaich pier into the village where you can browse through antiques, charity and gift shops as well as visiting the Tighnabruaich Gallery with its superb selection of Scottish art. Alternatively, you can visit the village of Tarbert for 2 hours ashore or cruise Loch Fyne towards Adrishaig.
