THE ROYAL AN LOCHAN
Our second Gourmet Night was held on Saturday 7th December 2013 and was a wonderful celebration of food and wine, interesting talks from Eva Franchesca of Inverarity Morton who explained the selection of wines and friendly conversation.[/firstparagraph]
Some interesting facts about the menu…
Carrot and Coriander. So many people read the menu thinking this was a soup but the surprise twist was that we presented them with a Coriander Panna Cotta with Carrot Crisps and Carrot Foam.
Our cheese course featured Isle of Kintyre Captains Claret which is an unusual velvety cheese with rich viens of Bordeaux wine. We served it on Arran Oatties, with a pear and whole grain mustard chutney, and red and green grapes, celery and sliced apple.
