Hogmanay Break 2013/2014

After yet another successful Hogmanay at The Royal an Lochan we are now looking forward to Hogmanay 2013/2014. Our aim is to keep the same fun, relaxing and informal atmosphere that we have achieved since taking over the hotel in July 2010. Why fix something if it’s not broken?

So, this year we are offering a two night Hogmanay Break, over the 31st December and 1st January and giving you the opportunity to extend the break either side of the celebrations if you wish to.

Christine and Keith, owners of The Royal an Lochan, invite you for a Hogmanay 2013 Short Break.

Our two-night Hogmanay Break goes like this: Arrive at our lovely hotel, tastefully adorned with Christmas decorations, any time from 3pm onwards. Tea, coffee and homemade goodies will be served in the lounge between 4pm and 5pm, leaving you just enough time to get your glad rags on and join us for a glass of bubbly and canapés at 6.30pm. Our 5 course celebration meal, designed around locally available produce, will commence at 7.00pm. After dinner why not retire a comfortable lounge with sumptuous sofas or go through to the dance area where live music for all ages will be playing. We challenge you to keep going until the Piper pipes in the New Year, you will be invited to join us in a wee dram and a mince pie to welcome in the New Year.

After all those celebrations start 2014 with a lazy morning, with a late breakfast between 10am – 11.00am. Enjoy spending the day in the local area, just make sure you are back in time for tea, coffee and cakes in the lounge between 4-5pm. Following in tradition, the first evening of 2014 will start with a bang at 6pm with fireworks on the beach. Dinner this evening will be a set 5 course menu using our fine local produce. After dinner raid our games cupboard and amuse yourselves by one of our roaring fires.

Sadly, after breakfast on the 2nd January it will be time for us to say our fond farewells and wish you all the best for 2014, however if you chose to stay a bit longer we could leave that for another day.

The prices for this 2 night Hogmanay Break are per room, dinner, bed & breakfast for 2 nights for two people sharing. Additional nights can be added either side of the Hogmanay Break priced per room per night dinner, bed & breakfast for 2 people sharing.
